Customer account number field

We are using desktop but are moving to online. But finding qbo very inflexible. We are needing a customer account number in qbo like there is in desktop. It's a basic and common practice to have account numbers. The only solutions I've found are to use the display name field in qbo. This is not a reasonable solution. We are trying to figure out how to add this as a custom field to the account.

Yes, there are more details that you can add to a customer's profile in QuickBooks Desktop. One of them is the Account Number field. While this isn't available in QBO, you can utilize the Notes section. 

 

 

If you're accepting credit card payments and process auto-debits, you can enter their credit card info in the Payment and billing section.

 

Personally, I believe our engineers are trying to memic what QuickBooks Desktop has. At the same time, they're trying to make the interface simpler for small businesses. However, I also understand that some of them need a certain feature or function to make the record-keeping work more efficient. That's why we're here listening to your feedback.

QBO doesn't provide it. Consider having an additional app to integrate with your QBO account or switching back to QBD.

I think this article describes the way it will work, but requires the advanced version.

Hi. On the one hand, you are trying to make the interface simpler for less sophisticated users. but on the other hand, you discontinued QBD and are pushing people to QBO. Adding a Customer # field as in QBD is most definitely not confusing for anyone. In my tech environment, this is the way that we link customers between systems. 

 

Dumb, dumb, dumb, intuit. You're basically asking people to investigate other platforms vs. just adding the field.
