Customer demographic data synchronization with external database

Hi all,

 

I am trying to figure out if we can sync data between QBO and our external data source via a single data point between the two being a Customer ID number.

 

When our members sign up, purchase products, or update their account details via the website, I would like it if QBO would pull through and update the new info via an API.  Monitoring and editing two datasets is time consuming. 

 

Is this possible?

What kind of business do you run? SaaS?

Which apps do you have for your members to signup, purchase products, or update their account detail?

Professional association with 3500+ members.

 

Everything is run through the website.  Payments processed via Braintree.  No external apps. 

 

Data is stored in SQL.  Basic demographic data and transaction data.  Nothing really unique or different. 

 

The problem lies in that we do thousands of low dollar amount membership and event transactions throughout the year.  I'm trying to figure out how to automate the work as much as possible.
