Hello there, @Allied3.
I'm here to share information about adding customer details in your QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Adding job numbers to the beginning of your customers' display name is currently unavailable in QBO. However, you can use the Title field before the First name in the customer's information to enter their job numbers as a workaround.
Here's how to do it:
- In QBO, go to the Get paid & pay or Sales menu at the left pane.
- Proceed to the Customers tab.
- Click the customer's name, then tick Edit at the top right.
- In the Name and contact section, enter the job number in the Title field.

- Enter the other necessary information in the desired fields if needed.
- Hit Save to complete.
I can see how having the option to enter job numbers at the beginning of your customers' display name would be helpful for you and your business. I highly suggest sending feedback directly to our product developers. They're always looking for ideas to consider on how to improve QuickBooks.
Here's how to submit feedback:
- In QBO, go to the Gear icon at the top right, then Feedback.
- Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.
