We recently switched to Quickbooks Desktop Enterprise(2023 version) and I am having a few customers that repeatedly tell me they cannot open the invoices sent out from Quickbooks. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, how did you fix it?

I appreciate you for notifying us of your issue, @abmeblights. Let's troubleshoot the Adobe Reader/Acrobat so your customers can view the attached PDF invoices in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Since your customers are unable to view the PDF invoices, we can let them bypass the Adobe plug-in by following the steps below.

  1. Click Start from your Windows taskbar.
  2. Select Programs or All Programs, then Adobe Reader.
  3. Select Edit from the menu, then Preferences.
  4. Under the Categories: section, click Internet.
  5. Select the box to uncheck Display PDF in browser, then OK.
  6. Allow any installer window to complete.
  7. Restart your computer.

If the issue persists, refer to this article for more troubleshooting options: Fix PDF and Print problems with QuickBooks Desktop.

Furthermore, you can create custom templates for sales forms to control how they appear when sending them to your customers.

Keep in touch if you need additional guidance about PDF invoices in QBDT. I'll be more than glad to assist you further. Stay safe.
