Deleting audit trail in Quickbooks Desktop 2018

I'm using Desktop Pro 2018, and I want to delete/flush/remove the audit trail.  I see a couple other posts with detailed steps, like this one:

But apparently that is only for 2019 and later versions...the Condense Data menu process doesn't look the same, on my version.

The feature is available on QBD 2019 and newer versions.

If you are using QBD 2018, you have to purchase a 3rd party service to remove it.

Hello there, @texas7.

Thanks for checking the related post from our QuickBooks Articles hub. Fiat Lux - ASIA is right. Since the Condense Data options is only available for 2019 versions, using a third-party application would be the best option.

You can visit the QuickBooks App Store to search for the right apps that best integrate with QuickBooks and works well for your business needs.

Thanks for the response (both of you).

I'm leery of 3rd-party apps.  Is there any other way, within Desktop 2018, that you know of to get rid of the trail?

I'd even be up for just buying 2019, but I don't see if available (and I'm not interested in moving to QB Online).

Thanks.
