Desktop app for QBO running extremely slow

I am having an issue with the desktop app running extremely slow over the past two weeks.  Prior to this time it was very efficient.  Now if I change company from the dropdown list, it takes 2-3 minutes to complete the change. In addition, I have to refresh or the company data does not change.  Any suggestions?

Hi, @JeanneL. I understand the importance of using the QuickBooks Online Desktop app without lag. Allow me to help you resolve this concern. 

 

I have options to help improve the performance of the desktop app.

 

First, you can reset your app data. Here's how: 

 

  1. Open the QBO desktop app.
  2. Log in to your company, then click the Help menu.
  3. Select Reset App Data.

 

If the issue persists, you can uninstall and re-install the desktop app for QBO. You can also log in to your account in your web browser.

Having similar issues. The option to install the App does not appear in my Settings menu like these instructions say. I got support to send me a link to download the exe, but it gives me errors saying servers are down and to try again. What the heck is going on?! I got payroll I need to do.

I tried both options and neither improved the functionality.  It is very frustrating just sitting around waiting for data to load.  Not sure where to go from here
