Question

Disappearing QTY value when Printing invoice

In what seems like a regular theme with QBO, Intuit seems to have once again mucked up invoicing.

Now, when I try to print a new invoice to send to a customer, the QTY value diasapears for some entries, not all. The Rate and Amount remains, but the associated QTY disappears. Everything was working fine, now this.

I swear, I now seem to spend way too much time trying to remedy QBO invoice issues. I can't see continuing to pay for this hot mess.

Countdown to the canned response from Intuit where they suggest I clear out my browser cache/history and then suggest I contact support, when it is Intuit who keeps breaking this app/service.

Hello there, @Craig_B.

I understand the urgency of resolving your issue with printing invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'm here to guide you on the next steps to help address this matter.

Clearing your browser history is one of the troubleshooting steps that can resolve your value quantities that are missing when printing invoices. On the other hand, you can also use another supported and up-to-date browser to narrow down the result.

However, if the issue persists I'd recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They can review your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Choose either tab to get started:
  • Assistant: Get quick, personalized answers. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with. If you decide you need further help, you can still Talk to a human.
  • Search: Search the QuickBooks Online knowledge base directly, or select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

For more information on the schedule, see this article: QuickBooks Online Support.

Furthermore, I'm adding these helpful references to guide you in receiving customer payments and customizing invoices and other sales forms for future reference:

This is the copy/paste canned response I was expecting. Clearing the browser cache/changing browsers does nothing for this issue. It worked fine and now because chances on QBO's backend, it no longer works. So, instead of making money and sending invoices so I can get paid, I have to continue to troubleshoot a QBO invoice issue once again.

Invoicing worked just fine until the last six months or so and has been nothing short of a dumpster fire since.

I'm having the same problem. QTY field disappears when I print or send an invoice or estimate. I can re-enter the quantity, but as soon as I try to send it or make a PDF, the QTY field goes blank. Crazy how much Quickbooks charges if they can't make it stable.

Hello there, Craig_B.

I see that experiencing this issue is not ideal. The disappearance of the quantity field is because we have an ongoing investigation about the missing quantity trying to send out their estimates for their customers when they send the estimate.

While our engineers are looking into this, I recommend contacting our Support Team to add your company details to the list of the affected users. Here's how:

  1. In your QBO account, click on the Help icon.
  2. Choose Contact us.
  3. Provide a brief description of your issue and follow the on-screen instructions.
