Question

Does Intuit / Quickbooks the company require 1099 reporting for services provided? If I paid over $600 to Intuit last year, do I need to submit a 1099?

Hello there, William. Allow me to share some information about your 1099 concern.

Payments you make to Intuit for our services don’t require a W-9 or 1099 because:

  • Intuit is a corporation.
  • As listed in the General Instructions for Certain Information Returns (page 21), payments made to corporations aren’t reportable.
  • Services offered by Intuit aren't part of the list of payments to corporations that must be reported.

Additionally, you can run a 1099 report to get an overview of your vendors and contractors.

Comment on this thread if you have further questions about your 1099. I'll be here to provide you with the help you need. Take care!
