Do you need to upgrade data from QB Desktop 2018 US Pro or Premier?

Can you still open your file on QBD 2018?

I'm happy to provide some guidance on how QuickBooks transfers data to the latest version, @Transfer of data file.

QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) has a 3-year lifecycle, and transferring company files directly from the 2018 to 2024 version might cause data issues and errors due to some feature or version differences.

You may consider upgrading your company file in a 3-year gap at a time. All you need to do is create a backup copy of your file, then restore it to QBDT 2021 and finally in 2024. Doing these helps prevent compatibility issues and ensure data works in the newer version. No worries, you can use a trial account to accomplish this.

Since our online resources only offer the latest trials, you’ll want to contact our support team for help. Our representatives can assist you with the installations and guide you through the process smoothly. Check out this contact information and method to connect with us.
