Does quickbooks have a setup for withholding and billing retention on projects?

You can manage withholding and billing retention by creating non- non-inventory or service item, Dee-Rose.

 

Currently, there isn't a direct feature to set up withholding and billing retention specifically for projects. However, you can create an item and include it as an additional line on your invoice.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Navigate to Sales and choose Products & Services.
  2. Click on New.
  3. Choose Non-inventory or Service as the type.
  4. Input the Name and SKU (if applicable) for your product or service.
  5. Use the Category ▼ dropdown to pick the category that best fits your product or service.

 

Please note that withholding options are only available in Payroll.
