Hi Dan213,

Welcome, and thank you for getting help with the error you received. Let me help you resolve it.

You'll want to send the invitation to your employee to start fresh. However, if it's still the same thing, please have them contact our Workforce Support team so they can assist them.

Please share the following points to your employee as well:

  • If you already have a QuickBooks Workforce account with a different employer, make sure to give your new employer the same email address.
  • If you have access to QuickBooks Online, you’ll need to use a different email address for your QuickBooks Workforce account. We recommend using your work email address for QuickBooks Online and your personal email for Workforce.
  • Your invite is valid for up to 30 days from when it was sent. If it’s been longer than 30 days, have your employer send you a new invite.
  • If your employer had to resend your invite, make sure to open the most recent invite.

Your employees can find more information from this article: Set up your QuickBooks Workforce account.

Please don't hesitate to go back to this thread if you need further assistance. Take care and have a good one!

I appreciate you reaching out here with your concern, Mar26. Let me help you route to our designated support team and help you get through to your Workforce account.

Since you're receiving the same error on the new invitation when creating your account, I suggest contacting our Workforce Support team to help resolve this unusual behavior. Also, they have the tools to review and investigate further what's causing the error on your account. To contact them, scroll down to the Get Help with Workforce section and click Chat with us on this page: Contact Workforce.

I've included this reference to guide your employer on how you can view your pay stubs and W-2s: Invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce to see pay stubs, W-2s, and more if you use QuickBooks Online Payroll.

We'd gladly assist you further if you have additional questions or other QuickBooks concerns. Feel free to leave them in the comments below. Keep safe!
