We appreciate you dropping by here in the Community space today.

Before anything else, know that we recognize the importance of having the option to show quantity on the new estimate experience. Since it isn't showing up on your end, you'll want to ensure that the modern template you've created is set to show QTY and that it is the main template that you use when creating estimates for your customers. We'll gladly input the steps to get you going:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the top-right corner, click the Gear icon and select Custom form styles.
  3. Locate the modern estimate template you created, and then click the Edit button below the Action column.
  4. In the Content section, check the box beside Quantity.
  5. Once you're ready, click the Done button.

See this article for more details: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

For visual reference, see the screenshot attached.

After ensuring the QTY is added to your modern estimate template, you'll want to create an estimate and then use the template you've created.

In case you're using the old experience, these are the steps:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, click the +New button.
  3. Select Estimates.
  4. Click the Customize button, and then choose the template you've created.
  5. Add the necessary details.
  6. Click Save or Save and send button.

If you're using the new estimate experiences, here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, click the +New button.
  3. Select Estimates.
  4. On the right corner, click Design and then choose the template you've created earlier.
  5. Enter the necessary details inside your estimates and then once done, click Review and send or Save button.

For the new estimate experiences, feel free to refer to the screenshot we've added below.
