Is there a way to add a description of a quantity on my estimates and invoices? Such as "Hours" or "Square feet?

Welcome to the Community space, @GrowGreenHydroseeding. I'm here to share some details about adding a description to the estimates and invoices.

In QuickBooks Online, there's no option to add a unit of measure like hours or square feet, and it applies only to the Desktop version of the program. However, you can add a description of your choice in the Description field when you create an estimate or an invoice. You can refer to the images below:

Moreover, once your customer accepts your estimate, you can directly convert and link it to an invoice to save time in entering the same information and keep your books accurate.

Also, once you received the payments from your customer, you can record the invoice payments in QuickBooks to mark the existing invoices paid.

You can always count on us if you have other questions or concerns about managing your invoices and estimates in QuickBooks. We've got your back. Have a great day!
