Question

Estimates - one total, instead of itemized price for each line?

Is there a way to setup estimates to only show a total at the bottom??  Leave each line item as $0 for what the customer sees.

Welcome to the Community, LimarInc.

When customizing your estimate template, you can uncheck the boxes for Quantity and Rate to remove them from your estimate form. This will remove the individual line item pricing from estimates themselves, while your total amount will be displayed at the bottom.

Here's how:

  1. In your top menu bar, go to Lists, then Templates and choose a type of form you'd like to customize.
  2. From the form, access your Formatting tab, then click Manage Templates.
  3. Pick a template to preview and hit Copy to create a new template. You can also press OK to edit an existing one.
  4. Open the Additional Customization window to add or remove items from your header, columns, or footer. This is where you'll access the Content tab, then under your Columns section, you can uncheck the options for Quantity and Rate.
  5. When you're finished, click OK.
  6. Use your Print Preview option to review the form. If everything looks good, hit Close.
  7. Select OK.
