It is very annoying to enter ALL THE TIME the exchange rate when making a quote or an invoice. Even if you choose "All new [currency] transactions for [date]" option, QBO keeps asking for it. It is VERY VERY VERY ANNOYING

Hi there, @LucS.

I appreciate you taking the time to express your concerns about the exchange rate when making an invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In QuickBooks Online, when you choose the exchange rate, it sets that rate for the entire day automatically. However, if the issue continues even after applying the rate to all new transactions for that day, I suggest doing some troubleshooting steps to determine if the issue is related to your browser.

To begin, please open an incognito window. This will prevent your browsing history from being saved. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts based on the type of browser you are using:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the private browsing session works, you can clear the browser's cache to improve the program's performance. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers as an alternative which will provide the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks.

For future reference, I'll add this article to guide you in running a report and customizing it: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please feel free to reach us out again, if you have further concerns about the exchange rate or other QBO-related concerns. We're always here to help you out.
