Exporting checks and other lists

HI, 

 

We were previously using Desktop and then migrated over to Online Advanced and after speaking with several consultants, Online is just not for us and our business.   We are going to go back to our Desktop version but have 2.5 weeks worth of checks and deposits to get back into the Desktop version.  Is it possible to export those two activities lists and then import them into Desktop?  I am inclined to say yes, right away, becuase we used to use the batch entering feature in Desktop all the time, my uncertainty is the Online version

Let's pull up and customize one of the transaction detail reports to see a list of check or deposits and export it. I'll show you how.

 

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Under For my accountant, select Transaction Detail by Account.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. On the Filter menu, select Account and Transaction Type.
  5. Below the Account menu, select the bank account where the checks or deposits are recorded.
  6. Select Check or Deposit on the Transaction Type selection to export the file showing only one list of entries.
  7. Click Run report.

From here, open the Excel file and remove certain columns to match it with the required columns in entering a batch transaction in QuickBooks Desktop.
