Extract customer file in .qbb form

We are trying to extract all transactions for a single customer in .qbb form to provide to an attorney's office.  I have talked to QB support who said this is not possible.  They said the only option is to extract the entire company file, which we will not do, of course.  Their client insists it's possible and that they talked to support.  They then sent a link to QB online support FAQs.

I'm doing my due diligence and exhausting all avenues to find if this is possible.  So far, the best option I have found is to create a PDF or Excel file of the audit trail.  But it's not in .qbb form.

    To clarify, we are using QB premier pro desktop - contractor's edition.  We are not using QB online.

    QuickBooks Desktop allows you to back up your company file in .qbb format. However, this file is a backup of the entire company file, and there's no option to extract the specific transactional data for a single customer. With this, the best way that you can do is to extract the file into a PDF or Excel file.

     

    Additionally, if your client insists on providing data in .qbb format, you should clarify the limitations of this file format and share the alternative options for extracting and sharing specific transactional data.
