Question

Getting error message "CVS is requiring filing status" when trying to update employee tax WH in QB online payroll.

Only happens with one employee, not all.  When I update tax WH info and click "save", it scrolls back to top and gives me that message, inside box with red outline. Have tried multiple times over the past year.

You may be experiencing some browser issues. To start, use a private window or incognito mode to open your QuickBooks Online account. It won't use the data from the existing webpage cache. Here are the shortcut keys:

 

  • For Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge browser, press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Google Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Safari, press Command + Shift + N

 

Once done, make the necessary changes. If this works, clear your browser’s cache and cookies to refresh the system. You can also switch to other browsers as an alternative.
