My laptop died with QB2020 Desktop on it. I bought an all-in-one computer. I downloaded and installed QB2020 Desktop. Now it won't load not even if run as adminstrator. I am on a Lenovo IdeaCentre, Windows 11 Home, Intel Core i7 w/32gb ram. Why isn't it loading?

Welcome to the Community and thank you for letting us know about your concern about accessing QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2020, @40ford2.

I can see why you are unable to load the application on your device. Let me elaborate on why. QuickBooks 2020 is compatible with Windows 10, and this version is no longer supported, so any latest fixes or updates won’t be available in the application.

In your case, upgrading to the QuickBooks versions that are compatible with your new device is best. Otherwise, you can re-install your company file for devices with compatible operating systems.

Keep me posted about your concern with installing QBDT, I’m always around the corner to lend a hand for help. Have a good one!

Thanks for the information. I hacked around until I got it to load and then solved two other problems involving PDF's. I wil look into upgrading to a newer version

@40ford2

Did you encounter any error message?

Try to reinstall your QB in Win 8 compatibility mode.

You can purchase QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus or Premier Plus to upgrade your version later.
