If you wish to remove old data in your QuickBooks Desktop Premier 2020, you'll want to consider using the Condense Data utility method.

Before doing so, make sure it's the best option for your company since it cannot be undone. Below are some valid reasons to Condense:

  • You have a large data file.
  • You are nearing a list limit.
  • You have upgraded all your hardware.
  • Your accountant and your technical support have discussed other options and are willing to proceed with Condensing.

For the complete process of condensing your data, check out this article: Use the Condense Data utility.

If you mean something else please let me know by adding more details. I'd love to make sure this is taken care of. Have a wonderful day ahead.

Why does my Premier Mfg 2020 version not have condense in the Utility?

I have a problem with invoice transactions costed by QB to Finished Goods all starting to become millions level, when they should be 0s.  When i fix some at transaction level by picking a new item to invoice that is a clone, others pop up in history.  I have 50hrs into this and no better.  REbuild will fix 100-200, but then there are new ones just populate.  I have a file at 600mb and will to condense 7 years of history to bring it down to 200mb sweet spot ,., no condense??  HELP
