Question

Help! My young child got into our system and messed a whole bunch of things up. I need the system to revert to 8/4/2023 before there were any errors

Welcome to the Community, @SMT.

QuickBooks Online doesn't have the option to revert the changes made in your account.

However, I'll help you check the changes so you can edit or correct them.

You can log in as primary admin to use the Audit Log.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings or the Gear icon ⚙ and select Audit Log.
  2. Click Filter.
  3. Use the fields on the Filter panel to choose the appropriate UserDate, or Events filter to narrow the results.
  4. Hit Apply.

When you see the changes, you can then correct them manually.

I'm also adding this article for reference to run a report in QuickBooks Online: Run reports in QuickBooks Online. You can use the reports to check your transactions.

Let me know if you have questions about using Audit Log in QuickBooks Online. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.

The backup restore feature is only available on QBO Advanced. You should have a 3rd party backup restore app.
