How can I print parts labels from a Purchase Order with the part description, the date and the customer name?

We order replacement parts and give them to our technicians to replace. How does everyone print from the purchase order and  label the part so that it will show the date, customer, part description and date?

Hello, brendan.

Let's check the custom form style and ensure the Description and the Date are mark-checked so that it will appear when you print your purchase order. However, in QuickBooks, regardless of whether you enabled the option to track expenses and items by customer under account and settings, the customer name does not appear on the purchase order when printed. The only way to show the customer name on the P.O. is by manually adding it in the description column. Alternatively, you can utilize a third-party app or take a screenshot for your recording input.

Since a purchase order uses the standard template format, I suggest enabling the Description and Date columns.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then choose Custom Form Style
  2. Locate the standard template, then click on Edit.
  3. Choose the Content tab.
  4. Tap the middle parts of the template.
  5. From Columns, place a checkmark beside the Description box and Date.
