Not an option, class is an internal reporting tag, nothing more, and as such has nothing to do with the customer

It isn't only for categorizing data, I also use it to show an employee who performed work. As QBO doesn't allow you to reference line items by employee, it is the only way our customers can see who did the work. It saves time from having to download reports from another program, format, and attach them to the invoice. It also provides insight into service profitability by subcontractors & employees. So it is a win-win for our customers and internal reporting. We also don't use QBO Payroll.

Let provide few information, @Proledge7.

In QuickBooks, a category is a way to classify the products and services you sell. In the meantime, ensure to put the check mark the Category from the Custom Form to include the class.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, click the Custom Form Styles.
  3. Click New Style.
  4. Locate the invoice you want to print.
  5. Select the Edit under Action.
  6. Click Content, select the Header.
  7. Put a check mark Product/Service and Category.
  8. Click Done.

I've attached this article if you want to customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.

Hello there, kandus11,

When you customize the invoice, under Content, click on the invoice body. From there, put a check mark on Product/Service and Category. Click Done to save changes.
