How can I turn off pop-up message when editing a transaction downloaded from my bank?

I import transactions from my bank into QBO.  Then, I often make changes....add memo information, maybe change the account, or add split.  Every single time I get the message "This transaction was downloaded from your bank’s records. Are you sure you want to edit it?".....yes, yes I am.....every single time.  That is why I just edited it...because I wanted to.  This is annoying, unhelpful and time consuming.  I want to turn these off.

I recognize how you're feeling about the pop-up message, 8110Bookkeeping.

The alert you've encountered serves as a reminder that the transaction has already been downloaded from the bank. It's also intended to prevent errors and discrepancies in the user's financial records.

I understand why some users would find it helpful to deactivate this feature, as it can save time. However, turning it off is currently not available in QuickBooks Online.

Our team constantly works to improve our product for a better user experience. For this feature to be considered, I suggest sending feedback to our product development team.

If you'd like to submit your own suggestion, here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.
  2. Type in your product suggestions.
  3. Select Next to submit.

Once you've finished categorizing and matching your transactions. You may start reconciling your account. For a comprehensive reconciliation guide, check out these articles:

I'm still all ears if you need any assistance managing your transactions. Leave your reply in the section below.
