Welcome to the Community, Bigwater.

I’m here to lay out some details on how we can amend your E-filed 1099 to the IRS using your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

Since you already know what specific form that has been rejected. Let’s proceed with voiding your 1099 form in the Filing tab, then select Void Forms. By doing that it will void all the forms that were rejected.

Next, review and correct the information that has caused the rejection.

To review your company info:

  1. In the Contractors tab, choose Prepare 1099.
  2. Review the legal name and tax identification number of your company.
  3. Click on Edit ✎ to view more information or to create a correction.

On reviewing contractor information, check the contractor information in the Contractors tab. To check the address and tax identification number, select their name.

Then, E-filed your 1099 forms again. You can check further details in this article: Fix rejected 1099 forms.
