I appreciate you posting your concern here in the Community, Srqa.

Let me share details on how we can address your 1099 - NEC concern that you have filed through QuickBooks Online.

After canceling your subscription to QuickBooks, you're data will be in read-only mode for a year from the date of cancellation. If you've decided to resubscribe to QuickBooks, you can file an amendment form to the IRS.

Know that, in accordance with the IRS regulations, if you filed the original forms electronically, you must file the corrected forms electronically as well. If you printed the original forms, you must also print the corrected forms. For more information about IRS guidelines regarding this matter, you can check these articles:

You can learn more about making corrections with the 1099 you've submitted through QBO in this article: Correct or change 1099 in QuickBooks Online.

Furthermore, you can also choose to manually request and resubmit the required form via the IRS website. Visit the IRS website and follow the instructions for manually submitting your form outside QuickBooks.

If you have more 1099 questions with QBO, don't hesitate to leave a comment. I'll be sure to address them in a timely manner.
