The vender made $43,400 more than what was on his 1099 that was filed this year. How do I change that or is it even necessary?

Thanks for becoming a part of the Community, duanebargar.

If you e-filed 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC forms through QuickBooks Payroll, you may end up needing to amend them. Beginning in 2024, you can submit amended 2023 1099 forms through QuickBooks.

For all other years, you'll need to work directly with the IRS to make a manual amendment to your forms. You can use these IRS instructions. You can check our Correct or change 1099s article for updates on when this feature will be available for all years.

I can certainly understand how an ability to amend 1099s could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today. You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit and will be reviewed by our Product Development team for consideration in future updates. You can check our Product Updates page for news about recent updates.

To properly identify what all will change if you set wholesale customers to a 0% tax code, I'd recommend working with an accounting professional.
