Thank you for reaching out to Community, @dnacabinetry.

I recognize the importance of entering electronic payments from bank statements in the program. To do so, let's perform some troubleshooting to get rid of the error.

One of the reasons for the odd behavior in the program is the cache piled up on your browser. We can use a private browser to access your QuickBooks account. It doesn't retain cache files that affect the program's performance, so we can verify if this is a browser issue.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts you can use:

  • For Firefox, press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N

On an incognito window, manually import the bank statement. Please review the MM-DD-YYYY or DD-MM-YYYY date format that matches your QuickBooks transactions. This way, we can verify if the error that appears by incorrect setup.

Clearing the cache is a good troubleshooting method to ensure a browser is running the program as designed. You can also use other supported browsers as alternatives.

To ensure that the data is in the correct layout, please refer to this guide for the proper format of the CSV file: Format CSV files in Excel to get bank transactions into QuickBooks.

These steps should verify if the strange behavior is a browser issue. I'd like to know how you get on, as I want to ensure we resolve this for you. Have a great day.
