How do I set up email notifications?

I am trying to figure out how to set up email notifications so that I can be notified to two different email addresses when contractors sign their W9 and enter profile information.

I appreciate your time in reaching out to the Community for assistance, Rashida. I’m here to share information about setting up email notifications in QuickBooks.


Currently, there’s no native way to set up email notifications in QuickBooks Online when contractors fill out their W-9. You can only set up and be notified for form filings, payday, payments, and tax reminders.


Once your contractor enters or updates their information, QuickBooks will automatically reflect the details in your account. You may consider checking their profile from time to time.


When you’re ready to prepare and file your 1099s in the program, you can access the resources below as reference:

 


If you use our 1099 e-file service, your contractors can view and get their 1099s from the same account.
