How do I setup SEP IRA under Quick book payroll online as it is not available under Retirement plan options?

I'm here to provide information about the Supported Retirement plan in QuickBooks Online, KumonRF.

 

When setting up a deduction for a Retirement plan, the supported plan you select will automatically set up a company contribution item to be used if needed. The reason why it won't show is that, the SEP IRA is not supported,

 

As of now, the supported retirement plan types are the following:

  • 401(k)
  • 401(k) Catch-up
  • 403(b)
  • 403(b) Catch-up
  • SARSEP
  • SARSEP Catch-up
  • SIMPLE 401(k)
  • SIMPLE 401(k) Catch-up
  • After-tax Roth 401(k)
  • After-tax Roth 403(b)
  • Company-only plan

 

Since your plan is not supported, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support team so we can do corrections for the first year at no charge. You may be required to pay for the corrections for subsequent years.
