How do I start over with Quickbooks on line?

Starting fresh with a new company file in QuickBooks Online can benefit your business, Dent. We'll give you more details and walk you through the process.

To begin with, you'll need to cancel your current QuickBooks Online account and start a new one. Please note that when you cancel your account, it doesn't delete your data. You'll still have read-only access to your company data for one year.

For guidance on canceling your account, refer to this article: Cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription. If you've payroll, ensure to cancel your payroll subscription as well.

Then, you can start a new company file by following these steps:

1. Sign up for QuickBooks Online.
2. Enter your user ID and password. You can use the same user ID and password as before.
3. You can add Payroll in Step 2 if your previous company had a payroll.

In addition, if you want to move some data from the old to the new one, it's important to note that only lists and reports can be transferred.
