Welcome to the Community, @support83.

I'll help you view your 1099 forms from previous years.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Payroll, select Contractors, then 1099 filings.
  3. Select View 1099 to view a PDF copy.

You can also view and print them in your 1099 E-file Service account. Follow the steps below.

  1. Log in to your 1099 E-file Service account.
  2. Click Download and print copies for your records.
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions until you reach the Download Your 1099 Forms screen.
  4. Select either Print For Contractors or Print For Your Records.

For future reference, you can read this article to learn more about running reports in QuickBooks Online: Run reports in QuickBooks Online. You can run the 1099 Transaction Detail Report, 1099 Contactor Balance Details, or 1099 Contactor Balance Summary to see the 1099 totals, accounts, amounts, and other details.

Let me know if you have questions about viewing the previous year's 1099. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.

Hello! Thank you so much for your response! I really appreciate your assistance. I am able to log in, go to payroll, and go to contractors. But then there isn't any button to view 1099 fillings?

It is actually under the Taxes tab, then 1099 Filings.  However, I could only go back to 2022 1099's.  I am unsure how to view prior 1099's.

Is there a way to do this on desk top QuickBooks? I need two from previous years and not seeing an option anywhere.

I can share some information that can help you with getting a copy of your previous year's 1099s, @LDriscoll

If you've used Tax1099 to e-file your 1099 forms from these two previous years, then you can follow the steps provided in the following article on how to view, print, email, or mail them: Where Can I See My Submitted Forms?

In case you don't see your forms or you don't know if they were submitted yet, please look under Forms, then View/Edit/Submit Forms. Just set the payer, tax year, and form type. That screen will show any forms not yet submitted to the IRS.

For QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted and QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced, here's how to view tax forms that Intuit files for you: View your previously filed tax forms and payments

To find out which payroll taxes and forms QuickBooks Payroll pays and files for you, refer to this guide: Understand the taxes and forms that QuickBooks Payroll submits for you

Let me know if you need more help with your 1099s. I'm always glad to help in any way I can. Have a great rest of the day!
