Greetings, @KTSP

Congrats on making your first post here in the Community. I'd be more than happy to give you some information on zooming in on your QuickBooks Desktop account so the font isn't small.

All you need to do is use your computer keyboard to zoom in. Press the keys listed below:

  • Zoom in: Control + (+)
  • Zoom out: Control + (-)

It's that easy!

This should do the trick. Feel free to come back if you have any other problems. Take care!

I'm glad to show you the steps to edit your fonts and display, @southernmach. We can go directly to the preferences and set the sizes and settings that you require to view your QuickBooks Desktop.

Changing your display in QuickBooks is a feature where you can alter the default setting of your company file. To do this, we can close your QuickBooks Desktop account. Then, follow the steps provided below:

  1. From the Start menu, open the Windows.
  2. Enter "QuickBooks" into the search tab. Then right-click the QuickBooks icon and pick Open file location.
  3. In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and choose Properties.
  4. Proceed to the Compatibility tab.
  5. Choose the Disable display scaling on the high DPI settings checkbox. You can also select Change high DPI settings and then Override high DPI scaling behavior.
  6. Pick Apply and then OK.

Step 2: Revise your view selections in QuickBooks:

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
  2. Pick Desktop View from the checklist and then the My Preferences tab.
  3. Choose the One Window option in the View area,
  4. Then select OK.

If you encounter the same thing, we can perform the verifying and rebuilding process to investigate if issues are running on your current account. Once the error is found, the rebuild tool will try to fix it. See this article for the detailed steps: Repair your company file using the Rebuild Data tool.

We are always here to support you especially when you encounter troubles while using your QuickBooks Desktop account. Keep safe.

I'm assuming you have a High Resolution monitor, so you need to change the settings.

Close QBD and then Right Click on the QB Icon.  Click on Preferences and then Compatibility and Check the Disable fullscreen optimization.  Pending you're computer you may need to Restart, so I'd go ahead and do it anyway.

Regretfully QBs still hasn't fixed their display for high DPI monitors, so this will help, but it still may not be as good as you'd like it to be.

Let us know if that helps.  If not there are some other things to try, but not changes you want to make if you don't have to.

I was also having trouble reading reports in Quickbooks desktop. I solved the problem by right-clicking in the margins of the report, which opens a "font" window. I increased the font size in order to read the report. Make sure to select a "font style" as well.

From what I can tell, there is no zoom function in QB desktop. Condolences to everyone who has attempted to rely on QB support staff for answers.
