How do integrate GUSTO and QuickBook Desktop Pro

I am looking to sync Quickbooks Desktop Pro with Gusto.   When I click to sync is GUSTO, I say my account fields need to be mapped.   It states download your chart of accounts?   Then it states to create and IIF file and then you can automatically sync and update the journal entries.    Not working at all for me....Gusto says ask QB and QB says ask Gusto?

Thanks for checking in with us, Korby.

When it comes to integrating GUSTO, the information we receive depends on what they share with us. In this case, we can try connecting to QuickBooks Desktop from Gusto. Let me show you how:

  1. Sign in to Gusto.
  2. Go to the App directory.
  3. Under Categories, click Accounting.
  4. Click the QuickBooks Desktop tile.
  5. Tap Connect.
  6. Enter your QuickBooks Desktop credentials to get connected.
  7. Upload and map your chart of accounts.

The option to export a Gusto IIF file into your QuickBooks account will be available the next time you run payroll. Then, the total wages, taxes, benefit deductions/contributions, reimbursements, and contractor payments will now export to your Desktop account each time you run payroll. If the same thing happens, I'd suggest contacting Gusto Technical Support Team to help you with this one.

Thank you....

I am getting stuck at this step:

    Click the QuickBooks Desktop tile. Tap Connect. Enter your QuickBooks Desktop credentials to get connected. Upload and map your chart of accounts.

It says it is redirecting me, but it never does. I have attached a screen shot of the error.

It is two years later and I am on the subscription qb desktop pro 2023.  QB does NOT allow QB desktop to map with Gusto.  As you said, QB says it's gusto, gusto says it's qb.  If it were qb online, guess what?  It would integrate flawlessly ...

Has anybody figured out a work-around?

@goodgrf

Have you tried the 3rd party connector as mentioned earlier?
