I'm here to help you customize your invoice template in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Rose Bassett.
QBO and QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) are two different programs. Where, the latter has more options and is more customizable, while the former has more automation and is easier to navigate.
To help you achieve this, you can use the Custom Field feature to add your customer's phone number to the form. Here's how:
- Go to the Settings menu and select Custom fields.
- Next click Add custom field or Add field (if you’ve already created a field).
- Enter the name. Example: Phone #. Then, select the type of data.
- In the category section, choose Transaction and check the box for Invoice.
- If you want the customer to see the info on the form, select Print on form (a maximum of 3 custom fields may have this option turned on for any single form type).
- Once, finished, select Save.

On the other hand, you can also add the info in the Billing address field so it will be displayed under your customer's name and address. To do so, you can manually add the info in the invoice form and then save it.
