How to delete turbo tax

I'm sad to see you go, kaleidoscope. I understand the need to delete your TurboTax account. Allow me to share some insights about this.

Once you've registered to TurboTax, we don't have any option to delete it. It is because the law requires Intuit to store copies of your return. These are the same requirements imposed on all accountants, CPAs, and other professional tax preparers. You can, however, deactivate your account by contacting the support team. Use this website to reach out to them during business hours: https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact/. Please note that you'll need to supply identification documentation to substantiate who you are.

Aside from that, you can also clear any tax data you entered on the program by going to Tax Tools and clicking Clear & Start Over. Or, remove the account in your login by changing the information. To do so, access your Intuit Account at the top of the online program screen. Click on Account Settings. Then, modify the credentials in both Profile and Security.
