Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll ensure you can download 1099s in QuickBooks Self-Employed by following the steps below.
Your employer or client can use their QuickBooks Online account to send you an invite to fill out your Form W-9. With this, the mentioned person needs to invite you to fill out your W-9 and they'll need to invite you to the email address you use to sign in to your QBSE.
Once done, you'll have to fill out and update your W-9 from QuickBooks your Self-Employed to complete the form and send it back directly to your employer. After your employer or client submits your 1099-MISC to the IRS, you'll get an email when it's ready for download. Then, here's how to locate and download 1099:
Go to the Clients menu from QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Select the Forms tab.
Download and print your 1099.
However, if you're still unable to locate the said form, I recommend opening your QBO account in a private browser. This is done to rule out the possibility of a website problem resulting in a missing 1099.
Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:
For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.
If it works in incognito, you'll have to clear the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above don't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.
