I keep having an issue with Quickbooks over font size inside the program.  I had things sora fixed where I could work, then, Microsoft just did an update, now everything is messed up.  So, are there any tricks or tips that will help me enlarge the print inside the progam?  If this keeps on, I am going to be forced to find another program.

Hello there, VickiL.

We can change your Windows DPI and screen resolution while the option to enlarge the font is unavailable within QuickBooks. Changing the settings can also affect other programs or apps in your computer.

Moreover, I got four solutions for you on how to fix the issue.

Solution 1: Change QuickBooks DPI settings

  1. Right-click on the QuickBooks icon, then select Properties
  2. Click the Compatibility tab, and select Disable display scaling on high DPI settings.
  3. Click Apply, then OK
  4. Open QuickBooks and check to see if the windows are visible.

Solution 2: Change the Desktop View Preference

  1. Open your company file.
  2. From the Edit menu, select Preferences > Desktop View > My Preferences.
  3. Switch View from Multiple Windows to One Window.

If these solutions don't work, you can check out solutions 3 and 4 in this article for more details: QuickBooks Desktop display issues

When will QuickBooks fix allow users to increase the font size on the desktop 2020 version? Better yet QUIT making the fonts microscopic!!! What ever happened to 12pt font size? When did 7-9 pt fonts become normal? People run out buying glasses because they think they cannot see when in fact ALL of the product providers KEEP decreasing the font sizes!!! Terrible for consumers!

Why are you able to change the font size when posting messages in this forum but not when actually using the desktop version of  QuickBooks? The amount consumers are charged to use the system and the with the requirement to update every three years, this should have been addressed several years ago!  Poor customer service in regards to addressing the font size in QuickBooks.

Hello.  If you are wishing to change the font size for all Reports... Go to the top and select "EDIT", then "Preferences", then "Reports & Graphs".  At this screen, now select "Company Preferences".  Once this opens:  Click OFF the checkmark on "Default & Formatting for Reports"... then click on "Format...".  Once new screen opens, click on "Fonts & Numbers" tab.  Then click on "Change Font" (just like you continuously have to do for each Report you had been running cause the print is sooooo tiny.  Then select your preferences (ie:  Ariel, Regular (saves ink), Font 12 or 14).  Reply "OK" to this and your future Report fonts will be this.  Next questions to confirm this:  "Change all related fonts?"  YES, "Report Format Reference" screen OK, "Preference" screen OK.  Done.  Best of luck.... :)

Hi there, italianbird811.

Thanks for stopping by the Community, the steps provided above are for QuickBooks Desktop. Unfortunately, at this time the ability to change the font size in QBO reports is unavailable. However, I can see how this would be beneficial, for that reason I'm going to reach out to our product engineers to see about implementing this in a future update. You can keep an eye on our blog, as that's where you can find information on changes and updates applied. The fastest way to get get changes like this made is to submit feedback. You can do so by clicking this link and following the steps there. If there's anything else I can do to help, feel free to post here anytime. Thanks and I hope you have a lovely day
