Hello. I wanted to ask, lets say I left the office Friday and come back Monday morning and I want to see what was the last thing or entry I did on Friday. How can I go back and look at what was the last thing or things I did before I closed up for the evening? Does that make sense? How can i see what was the last thing or entry I did? Also, If I make a mistake and type in the wrong number is there a way to just go back to the last entry or do i have to go all the way into reports and look for the date i just did? Thanks.

Welcome to the Community!

I'd gladly show you how to access the audit log so you can see your past actions in your QuickBooks Online account.

The audit log is a useful tool that keeps track of all your activities in QuickBooks. It records changes made to your account, such as user sign-ins, edits to customers, vendors, employees, payroll submissions, and more. Here, you can easily find the date of the changes, the user who made the change, the type of change, the name of the customer or vendor related to the change, and the original transaction or amount.

To access the audit log, you need to first sign in as an admin. Once you have signed in, follow the steps below.

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top-right corner.
  2. Select Audit log.

For more information on how you can maximize the use of the audit log, please refer to this article: Use the audit log in QuickBooks Online.

Come back to this post if you need further assistance in using the audit log. I'll be right here to help you.
