Question

I am currently running QBooks 2019 DesktopPro for Mac and have been experiencing issues with its performance... or lack there of. I have tried to rebuild the data file several times, but problems still persist. My Mac OS is Monterrey 12.6.7.

Hey there, ihi1

I know how essential for your business to get your QuickBooks working normally. This allows you to complete your accounting activities on time.

To ensure a timely solution, I just to gather more information about the issue. Which area in QuickBooks you're having issues with? Did you encounter any error codes or messages, especially when rebuilding the file?

The issue started with just a painfully slow response to keystrokes.... taking forever to open estimates for example. Then whenever I converted an estimate into an invoice, closed the app, re-opened the program, the invoice I had created was no longer there. I did the same thing several times over a couple of days, and it was like the data was frozen on that last date, and I couldn't add anything new. So, I figured I had a corrupt file... verified, and it came back with some issues, so I rebuilt the file.... 3-4 times, and the same issue still prevails.

@ihi1

How big is your file size?

Not exactly sure, but I found some back up disk images that were around 62mb. My .qbmb file seemed to be around 24mb.

Go to the Help menu, then select Product Information

If your file size > 300 MB, try to condense your file. Another option, install the trial version for QBD 2020 to make sure if you have the same problem.
