It’s great that you’re taking the initiative to address the monthly payment limit issue, Anna.

Before we start, could you please tell me if the alert you received was the result of attempting to complete a direct deposit payroll or a vendor payment through QuickBooks Bill Pay?

If you get an error message about direct deposit limits when you process payroll, you can refer to this article to learn more about direct deposit limits and how to process a request to increase your limits: Get help if you’re over a direct deposit limit in QuickBooks Payroll.

Otherwise, if this error or alert is related to processing vendor payments through QuickBooks Bill Pay, it's important to know that there are standard daily and monthly payment limits for some users. These limits are established based on individual banking activity and processing volume history. If you exceed these limits, online payment capabilities will be temporarily suspended until your limits are restored within a 30-day period.

To answer your question about changing the limit, I recommend reaching out to our Payments Team for further assistance. If you want to learn more about how QuickBooks Bill Pay works, check out this resource: Learn about QuickBooks Bill Pay for QuickBooks Online.

I will monitor this thread closely, so please feel free to share any additional details or ask any follow-up questions you may have. Your insights are valuable, and I look forward to helping you further!

This was when I tried a vendor payment through quickbooks ACH payment, but am concerned that it could also stop our payroll for tomorrow.
