Question

I am setting up my 1099's and am at the File 1099 window. As I progress to Review Recipients, the correct totals show for each, but not their name. What's going on?

If I progress further and look at the 1099's generated, I see that the actual form has their name, address, etc, yet I'm reluctant to hit the file button if the names are not showing on my screen. Thoughts?

Hello, elliot.

When we encounter unexpected situations when using QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to identify if this is a browser-related issue.

I recommend using an incognito browser. Doing so will prevent the browser history from being saved.

Refer to the following keyboard shortcuts based on your browser type:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache allowing the system to restart. This task is also possible in other supported, up-to-date browsers. Clearing the cache will reboot the system, allowing you to work with a clean slate.

Thanks for the reply. I tried the private browsing and the glitch did not go away. I searched further and looked at the summary that goes to the IRS. It looks like all the info is there, name, SS, etc, yet . . .
