I can't reset my passwork in Quickbooks Desktop 2021

The steps for resetting passwords in QuickBooks are different for admins and non-admins.

Here's how to reset an admin's password:
 

1. From your Password field, click the Lock icon. You'll see a pop-up menu listing recovery email addresses.
2. Choose an email address you have access to.
3. Select OK.
4. You'll receive an email from Intuit that will guide you through the process of creating a new password.

Here's how to reset a non-admin's password:
 

1. Sign in to your company file as the admin.
2. In your top menu bar, go to Company, then User and Passwords.
3. Choose a user you're working with and click the Edit option.
4. Use your Lock icon, then enter the new password.
5. Select Save.

If you're unable to reset a password with the steps above, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research with you, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
