It seems you are experiencing some challenges signing in to QuickBooks Self-Employed, and the error message regarding QuickBooks Online can be confusing. Let’s work through some steps to resolve this and get you back on track, Sgriff2981.

Here are a few things we can check:

  1. App Installation: Please confirm you have downloaded and are trying to log in through the QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app, not the QuickBooks Online app.
  2. Login Credentials Check: Take a moment to verify your login details. Verify if it has the correct email address and password associated with your QuickBooks Self-Employed account, not QuickBooks Online.
  3. Browser Login: If the app continues to pose an issue, attempt accessing your QuickBooks Self-Employed account through a web browser. It can help determine if the problem is exclusive to the mobile app.
  4. App Update/Reinstallation: It’s also good to check if your app is up-to-date. If it is already updated and the issue persists, uninstalling and reinstalling the app can resolve unexpected errors.
