Question

I deleted several transactions as I was setting up my account. They were errors and I deleted them and recreated them. How can I remove them permanently?

Hi, Let me help you remove your transaction permanently from QuickBooks.

To permanently remove them, delete the recreated transactions one by one.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Select the account holding the transaction, then View register.
  4. Locate the transaction you need to delete. Tap the transaction, then click the Delete button.
  5. On the prompt message, choose Yes.

Another way to remove the transaction is to void or delete the transaction.

Furthermore, see this article to learn how to reconcile your accounts so your bank and credit card statements always match: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Please let us know if you have further questions about deleting the transaction. I am always available to assist you. Have a great day!
