I e file a 1099 with quickbooks, but I need to make a correction, how do I do that?

there was a couple checks that haven't been voided on the vendor account, how can I update it?

In QuickBooks Online, you can only submit your 1099 form once. If you need to make updates or corrections, you can do it through a printed copy and send it manually by mail to the IRS. Below are the steps to follow for filing the amended form:

 

  1. Order 1099-NEC IRS forms online at IRS Online Ordering for Information Returns and Employer Returns.
  2. Fill out the 1099-NEC form and enter the correct Social Security Number.
  3. Tick the Corrected box.
  4. Once done, mail the form to the IRS.
