Welcome to the Community space, Caema. I'll provide assistance so you can use QuickBooks Online (QBO) Application on your desktop.

To make the most of the app, we recommend downloading and installing the newest version to access the latest features and improvements. It ensures a seamless experience when managing the financial aspects of your business. Here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company using a browser.
  2. On the top right corner, click the Gear icon and then select Get the desktop app.
  3. Click the Download for Mac button.
  4. Locate the QuickBooks Online app installer that you downloaded.
  5. Follow the prompt and drag the QuickBooks Online file to your Applications folder.

You can also check this page for further guidelines when installing the program: Install the QuickBooks Online for Mac app.

If you still can't install the update, you'll want to delete the older app from the system before downloading and reinstalling. If the issue persists, we recommend contacting our Customer Care Team for a thorough investigation to identify the underlying cause. For additional information, you can refer to this page: QuickBooks Online Support.

In the meantime, consider accessing your company file using web browsers inside your desktop. Moreover, here's an article to help you manage invoice payments and keep track of data entered inside the program:
