Welcome to the Community, Maxx.

I understand the importance of your bank account associated with your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

Did you encounter any issues when trying to download your bank transactions after linking your account? We would appreciate it if you could provide us with more details on what exactly you were trying to do and what prevented you from doing so. This information will help us better understand and address the issue you are experiencing.

Furthermore, know that only the cleared bank transactions from your bank will appear in your account. In the meantime, check your bank account website for any messages, notifications, or alerts about ongoing updates.

If you're still having trouble after contacting your bank and have verified that there isn't any ongoing maintenance, try opening your QBO account in an incognito or private web browser.

Moreover, when your transactions are ready, organize them by following the guidelines in this article: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Let me know if you need further assistance with your bank account connection in QBO. Kindly leave a comment below, and I'll address them promptly. Be safe!

Thanks for providing us with clarification on your concern, Maxx.

Separating your bank transactions into personal and business is only available in QuickBooks Self-Employed. You can exclude them instead in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

In any case, these transactions have already been added. Check these articles to guide you in recording those funds.

At the moment, we still can't pinpoint the exact cause of why you encountered this error while importing your transactions. There are several possible reasons for this issue, such as an incorrect format, file limitations, or a cache problem. Could you please provide us with the type of your Financial Institution? It would be helpful for us to investigate this issue.

In the meantime, let's check if it's a browser issue, use an Incognito/private window or other supported browser, and perform a manual update to update your banking transactions.

Here's how:

  1.  Go to Transactions and select Bank Transactions.
  2. Select Update.
  3. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials and select Continue update. Enter these credentials within 2 minutes of being prompted.

Moreover, I'm adding this article to guide you in balancing your books correctly: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Keep us posted if you have other concerns with your bank transactions. We'll do our best to help you. Take care.
