Question

I have tried submitting my 1099-NEC several times, and keeps getting rejected by IRS saying that information doesn't match what is on file. Any ideas?

I have re-checked the information, business name, address and EIN and it matches what is recorded with IRS. I recently received a new EIN number, but waited several days before attempting to file 1099-NEC's.

I appreciate you for bringing this to our attention.

Your 1099-NEC being rejected by the IRS can either because by your Company's name, Employer Identification Number (EIN), and Social Security Number (SSN) not matching what's on record, or, one or more of your contractors has an incorrect address.

Also, since you mentioned that you've received a new EIN, I'd recommend making sure that it's being reflected within QuickBooks Online too.

However, if you've already compiled and are still being rejected, I'd suggest contacting our Payroll Support so they can look into this further using their tools.
