Question

I have used direct deposit forever. I am setting up a new employee and getting a message that says,"an error has occurred while submitting bank information".

I recognize the efficiency of setting up a new employee, @elliot-soccerfun.

Upon checking our system, I've discovered an ongoing investigation regarding an error in submitting bank information for direct deposit. Currently, our product engineers are working diligently to provide a permanent fix.

If you haven't, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks support team. This way, they can add your company file to the list of affected users and provide this investigation number for easy tracking: (INV-102113)

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
  2. Click the Help button at the top right corner.
  3. Go to the Search tab, then select Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief discussion of your concern, then click Continue.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us. You can either choose chat with us or have us call you.

Additionally, I've added a resource you can browse once everything's good for you to be able to learn when to send your direct deposit payroll to pay your employees on time: When to send your direct deposit payroll.

Please know that you're always welcome to reach out for further inquiries that you may have in the future. I'd be glad to assist you 24/7. Stay safe.
